The second annual ‘Try-It” event at Jubilee Park on February 8 was a huge success with 345 participants of all ages enjoying the day of ‘trying’ winter activities. That is more than 150 more people than last year as word of this fun day spreads!
We added three additional activities this year:
Horse drawn sleigh rides
Sugar Shack – maple syrup snow candy
Other activities enjoyed by the participants included:
Ice fishing, Skating, Cross Country Skiing
Curling with original rocks from Conjuring Lake Curling Club
Snowshoeing, Outdoor hockey game
Indoor crafts for the young
Free hot dogs, coffee, and hot chocolate were enjoyed by all!
We thank everyone who attended as well as a huge thank you to the volunteers. Without their dedication, events such as this could not be possible.
Thank you to all the sponsors. Once again thanks to all for supporting and enjoying this fun day.
